The 2025 GasGas MC 85 17/14 delivers a genuine motocross experience for junior riders in a perfectly down-scaled package. A redesigned central-tube steel frame brings the handling finesse of full-size machines while staying nimble and confidence-inspiring. Slightly slimmer bodywork and a revised handlebar bend allow young riders effortless transitions between sitting and standing, improving comfort and control. With striking all-red in-mould graphics, this bike not only looks the part—it feels intuitive from the very first lap, lending an early taste of competitive precision.​​

 Optimised Motor & Balance Beneath the surface is a comprehensively revised 84.9 cc two-stroke engine featuring a new cylinder head, ignition, carburettor tuning and exhaust system. These changes enhance low-to-mid-range torque while retaining a lively top-end, giving a power delivery that’s both forgiving and responsive. The engine is now mounted three degrees further back, improving weight distribution and making the bike feel notably more balanced. Additionally, the motor is roughly 120 g lighter than before, contributing to this model’s exceptional agility and ease of handling—all geared towards an engaging ride for experienced and developing riders alike.
Advanced Suspension & Handling Ergonomics This edition benefits from WP XACT suspension tuned for the junior racer: adjustable 43 mm USD forks up front and a PDS rear shock deliver confident damping and responsive feedback. The geometry—including a flatter swingarm and raised ground clearance—encourages young riders to lean into corners with precision, and the lightened swingarm enhances rear-end control. Textured frame pads further aid grip and reduce fatigue, ensuring this chassis stays composed through every lap.
Racing-Level Components & Rider Comfort Despite its compact size, the MC 85 17/14 is fitted with premium features: oversized footpegs for better grip and mud clearance, sensitive yet durable Formula-branded hydraulic clutch for smooth operation, and wave disc brakes—240 mm at the front and 220 mm at the rear—that give strong and intuitive stopping power. High-quality Excel rims with rugged Maxxcross rubber tyres provide confident traction across a variety of track conditions, while Pankl radiators ensure cool running and race durability. Every detail supports rider development and all-out performance.
