EC 125

The 2025 GasGas EC 125 is back and ready to introduce a new generation to the thrill of enduro riding. Based on the fierce MC 125 motocross platform, this competition-only two-stroke has been upgraded with enduro-specific features like an 18-inch rear wheel, six-speed transmission, and map-select switch. Wearing bold red bodywork with sharp in-mold graphics, it looks as ready for the trails as it is for the podium. Crafted with precision for rideability, the EC 125 promises to put a smile on every newcomer, whether they're navigating wooded singletrack or blasting through open clearings. It’s light, eager, and built to inspire confidence from the very first twist of the throttle.

Rev-Happy Engine & Control Under the sleek bodywork, a 124.8 cc two-stroke motor delivers a high-revving powerband designed for responsiveness and fun. Injected via a 39 mm throttle-body Keihin EFI system, it’s paired with electronic exhaust control for smooth, efficient delivery from bottom to top. An electric starter adds user-friendly flair, while the six-speed gearbox and hydraulic clutch system ensure precise and predictable power transfer. Carefully balanced for newcomers and experienced riders alike, the powertrain gives just the right mix of eager acceleration without punishing power spikes, encouraging confidence and progression in every ride.

Trail-Tuned Chassis Built for enduro terrain, the EC 125 rides on a central double-cradle 25CrMo4 steel frame with an aluminum subframe for durability and lightness. Suspension comes courtesy of WP XPLOR front forks and a WP XACT rear shock with updated linkage, tuned to deliver smooth control over rough terrain and improved rear-end response. Complementing the chassis are ergonomic bodywork and a grippy seat that help riders stay locked in, even when things get slippery. Braking is handled cleanly by BABKTEC calipers and 260 mm front and 220 mm rear discs for confident stopping power on every descent. Every chassis component is set up to make trail riding intuitive and durable.

Adventure-Ready Practicality Standing tall with a 956 mm seat height but still light and manageable, the EC 125 balances accessibility with serious ride capability. With around 99.5 kg dry weight and a 9-liter fuel tank, it's nimble yet capable enough for extended trail outings. Thoughtful touches like a transparent tank for quick fuel checks, tool-free air filter access, and wide, mud-shedding footpegs make maintenance and control effortless. Every design detail reinforces the bike’s role as a ride-focused tool that encourages riders to push boundaries—and enjoy every moment of it. This lightweight weapon is all about fun, progression, and enduro enjoyment.
