Engine The EU 5+, 947 cc, parallel twin LC8c has been harnessed even further thanks to a tweaked engine map and 100% full throttle opening position to suit the needs of the KTM 990 RC R and the most compact twin in the segment. 130 PS (94 kW) and 103 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm… Impressive right?

Chassis The KTM 990 RC R has two strong characters. It’s a saliva-inducing tool for the track as well as an acute expression of super performance for the street with all criteria covered. To these ends the chassis geometry is weighted and fixed accordingly with an emphasis of 52.5% to 47.5% front/rear. The offset is measured at 33mm with a steering angle at 25 degrees (per side) for improved steering sensation and a planted front end. The aluminium diecast swingarm with a linkage construction mechanism brings increased flex for better stability and manageability for bumpy track and street surfaces and this 184 kg rocket.
